*Your kids who rarely fight are now fighting over such petty things as whose pinky fingernail crossed the line of the couch cushions first.
*You have come up with every possible use for a pipe cleaner in all of craftdom.
*You started off the summer with no bedtime rules and now find yourself pushing bedtime to an earlier hour every night....not because THEY are tired...but because YOU are exhausted.
*Doing the laundry starts to feel like a mini vacation....5 minutes alone in the basement never looked so good.
*You have enough extra notebooks, crayons, and index cards to start your own classroom...simply because they were on sale at Shoprite for 19 cents each and...well...you never know when you might need an extra 10-15 notebooks right?
*Your daughter's rear bike tire pops while she's riding because she has put SO many miles on it over the course of 2 months.
*You haven't had enough time to both read AND comment on your buddies blogs in what seems like forever.
Love my littles dearly....LOVE having them home SO much...BUT...it's time:)
So long summer...said with a slight sniffle....you have been SO good to us.
p.s. this is the first day of school...take 2:) Yesterday was supposed to be the first day but we got up...got dressed in all of our new gear...had breakfast....and then the phone rang. First day of school cancelled due to flooding. Today we had a 2 hour delay but they are off on their way now;) Man is it quiet around here!
LOL! I have to agree with you. I buy more supplies than my kids will ever use and my kids rarely fight but began bickering last week, so I KNOW it was time.
We had school today, but several area districts did not because of the flooding. Hope your kiddos had a wonderful first day!

they are super cute! i loved the first day of school when i was a kid...new pencils, boxes of crayons...good stuff! hope they had a great day!

What a way to start out the school year...canceling the first day! I hear ya on summer. Its a love hate relationship with me! I LOVE staying home with the kiddos, but I think time apart is good for us all!
