This Wednesday I thought I would actually show you my brand spankin' new worktable:)
My scraproom also has to function as a mudroom....homework room....and main entrance to our house....oh and did I mention that it is also the smallest room in our house?
For several years function has won out over aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Of course I have always had a long wishlist for this room but of course there have always been more pressing things to deal with.
Recently we had our roof done and we HAD to take a closer look at this room....there was water damage and sheetrock that needed replacing.....SO we decided to go ahead and spring for new furniture too:) IKEA to the rescue!!

the kiddie corner....mostly for Evan who likes to be off on his own doing his work.

and now for the uglier functional parts....lame... but essential.
We ended up with this Jonas piece because I loved the idea of closing the computer up at night and not having to see my own mess:) PLUS the drawers hold all of my scrapping stuff and a little of the kids stuff too.....ahem...a very little. I may have a problem;)
Anyway...we also got the Jonas desk with the pullout extension because I often have a bunch of little ones crafting at my side. This gives us plenty of room in a very small space:)
And finally....my least favorite part of the room...BUT the one we use most often is now out of sight behind the door **double smile**
We still have a bit of work to do in here...like find some curtains and accessorizing on that far wall that you see when you walk in...but for the most part we are totally in LOVE with this new/old room:)
PLUS I'm hoping that having all of my scrappy supplies back in one room will bring my scrappy mojo back:)
