Super excited to be playing with my collection of Core'dinations Cardstock today!
I created this LO of the little Miss....
supplies used: cardstock-Core'dinations/ Patterned Paper- Studio Calico & Crate Paper/ Letters- Sassafras Lass/ Wooden pieces- Studio Calico/ Twine- the twinery on Etsy:)
Next I made this card for my nephew's 5th Birthday...
Supplies used: Carstock-Core'dinations/ Chipboard Pieces- Crate Paper Boy line/ Patterned Paper- Studio Calico/ other- buttons and ribbon- from my stash.
I took a dry paint brush and dabbed it in a very small amount of white paint to get the background numbers on the cardstock to pop! So fun to get a little messy:)
Finally...I had so much fun creating this little altered piece.
I plan to fill it with a bunch of goodies and send these little birdies south to someone very special:)
supplies used: Cardstock- Core'dinations/ Patterned Paper- Sassafras Lass/ Flowers- Prima, Bella Blvd, & American Crafts/ Other- Paper mache box, Paper doily, twine, shredded paper, buttons, and metal pedastal dish.
Here's a closeup of the little birdies....
If you would like to make a 3D paper bird of your own....
here is the ultra-quick...watered-down version of how to do just that:)
1. cut a 1" x 12" strip of paper from your desired color of cardstock...
2. bend the cardstock to create a beak and then bend the ends to create tail feathers...
3. hot-glue the beak and tail feathers together so that you have something that looks like this....notice that you do not glue the center.
4. Spend a few minutes shaping your bird. The great thing about using Core-dinations is that it is strong cardstock and can hold it's shape:)
5. Run a bead of hot glue along the edge of the body and quickly stick it down to a complimentary color of cardstock...you will end up with something that looks like this....
6. cut around the birds body.....
7. repeat steps 5 and 6 on the opposite side of the bird's body....
8. You should end up with this.....

9. Have fun "personalizing your bird with wings and feathers:)
You can cover the beak with patterned paper like I did or simply leave it plain. It looks just as cute either way:)
Well...that's all for today peeps.
Thanks for visiting with me and....
Happy scrapping!!
